Right now a Blu Ray PC on average can cost £600+ however Acer have managed to construct a Blu Ray playing PC + 19” monitor and price it at just £549 and is currently on sale from John Lewis (link).
Inside the Acer Aspire ASX1700 is a Intel Core2Duo processor clocked at a zippy 2.66ghz and HD resolution graphics are provided by a nVidia GeForce 9300 graphics card.
Additional components include 4GB of high speed RAM, a 320GB hard drive and a 5 in 1 memory card reader. The Blu Ray multi drive can read Blu Rays/DVDs/CDs and write to DVD/CD while a 1GBps networking interface provides high speed access to your home network.
While the PC alone is worth the price Acer have still managed to include a 19” TFT monitor making a good deal even better. Finally John Lewis include a 2 year warranty as standard and thus completing quite possibly one of the best package deals ever seen on this site.
