The Beginning
One day in December 2008 (the 3rd to be precise) I thought it might be useful to construct a website that would find and suggest to the masses the latest and greatest home PCs that were currently on the UK market.
The Target Audience
This website is aimed at all those who have either no or limited knowledge of the current home PC market; It is aimed for all ages with simple language and a Jargon Buster in the Knowledge Base (KB). However those with more experience in buying PCs may also find this site useful to reference now and again.
The Author
I am a Information Technology Specialist working in Oxfordshire (England). In my time as a Technician I have seen and helped a number of people who have either over or under spent on their home PC resulting in a poor experience with their new (and quite often expensive) PC, it is for all those people that I have made this site.

The Future
This site is currently being constantly being updated with new content in the forms of blog posts and Knowledge Base (KB) items. As the main focus is on recommending products there is no planned expansion into the concept of a ‘PC news’ site however there might be the odd bit of useful news appear some days.
The missing PC retailer
Some people may notice that one particular PC retailer does not appear anywhere on this site, I’m not going to name them because I only put PCs that come with a recommendation on the site and there is no prize for guessing which one it is. Either way I suggest you avoid them with overpriced hardware and a high rate of breakdowns.
The UK
This website is hosted in the UK by UKWSD, it is focused at the UK market and so anything that you see on this site is/was available to buy in the UK.
