Every last feature in one Sony VAIO
With a solid state disk drive, 3G mobile broadband, hybrid graphics and an Intel i5 dual core processor the Sony VAIO Z11X9E/B notebook PC is generations ahead of pretty much everything else.
However with a price tag of £1644.97 from Laptops Direct (link) this level of technology should be entirely expected.
With Windows 7 Professional 64bit edition pre installed this PC is ready to go at a moments notice with business features like offline file synchronisation and network backup.
HP Mini PC with Windows 7
Before today most netbooks came with either Windows XP or a derivative of Linux simply because Windows Vista wasn’t suited to low power PCs; with Windows 7 Starter that’s all changed.
With all the performance enhancements and features of Windows 7 the HP Mini 110 lets you work anywhere and there’s even a choice of colours (Black, White and Pink) all costing £299.99 from PC World (link).
Sony style now with 64bit Vista
Until recently Sony VAIO notebooks only came in the 32bit flavours of Windows Vista but now (and in a bid to increase RAM sizes) Sony are now giving you a chance to buy your VAIO (custom built) with a 64bit version of Windows.
So what’s the 64bit advantage? Essentially it gives you the option to have more RAM and thus allowing you to have even more applications open at the same time (more on 64bit).
So for some suggestions on which VAIO with 64bit would be best for you keep reading!
In need of a tough notebook? Try a Toughbook
Panasonic are world renowned for their ‘Toughbooks’, designed to operate in the harshest of environments these notebooks come second to none when it comes to indestructibility.
While water, fire, sledgehammers and bullets may completely wreck any normal notebook its all part of a normal day for a Toughbook.
But what about price and performance? Well shall we say starting price is around £1,900 with cclonline.com.

NC10 Netbook with true anywhere Internet
Its not just Wi-Fi or Bluetooth the Samsung NC10 (£428.95 from Amazon.co.uk) line of netbooks now includes a 3G/HSDPA integrated mobile modem. Essentially this means you can pickup your netbook go into the middle of your local sports field and surf the net (should you so want to).
All you need in addition is a data contract with a mobile phone company (click here for some options) many of which has fallen in price in the recent months as the leading companies battle for customers.

The Sony VAIO TT and the HP dv2 series notebooks are by far two of the most stylish notebooks currently on the market and both have their advantages but which is better? Lets take a tour round the features and design of each notebook and we shall see!
HP/Compaq Mini 702 – still the best netbook
With the current financial problems of the world it seems like the concept of a ‘netbook’ or low power/low cost notebook came in just in time. Currently the HP/Compaq Mini 702 is still my favourite PC in this class and amazon.co.uk (link) just dropped the price to £269!
Mobile internet options on one page
As with every mobile phone operator there are always lots of different tariffs for you to choose from (and mix with hardware) and this range of choice quite often gets out of hand and all you want to know is which one is best. Personally I have always been fond of the 3 mobile network for mobile internet however its good to know where the opposition falls into place; this is where inmobilebroadband.co.uk (a mobile broadband comparison site) can come in use.
3 beat Orange in the HP Mini 700 race
Today Orange launched the HP/Compaq Mini 700 on their website with a 24 month contact costing £29.36/month. For your money you get the fantastic new HP netbook (link) and 3GB of browse/download from Oranges UK mobile network with speeds up to 3.6Mbps.
However with this Orange contract over the 24months you could be paying a little over £700, so if this isn’t to your tastes 3 have the same netbook for £20/month with just 1GB of browse/download. At this rate from Three/3 you would pay £480 over the 24 months.
So the choice is yours, but do check out the links below for more information.
